Gearshifters

Runs unfold from a top-down perspective, blending shoot-em-up gunplay with driving mechanics like drifting, spinning, and ramming through enemy vehicles. The player takes on transport missions across hostile territory controlled by rival factions, earning income used to fund upgrades between runs. Rogue-lite structure means each run offers a different route, a different mix of enemies, and different gear to find along the way. Over a hundred parts let the player tune the car's weapons, defenses, performance, and appearance to suit a preferred playstyle. Progress moves through nine zones held by eleven separate factions, each culminating in a boss fight against an oversized enemy vehicle. A harder difficulty option removes safety nets entirely, ending a run for good the moment the car is destroyed. The combination rewards fast reflexes and careful loadout planning in equal measure, run after run.
