About this game
In the base game you lead survivors back to the surface and grow a settlement while radiation, toxic rain, droughts, sandstorms and raiders wear it down. This pack turns a stable settlement outward. Once your people have food, power, schooling and medicine sorted, they want to know what is left beyond the horizon. A purpose-built hot air balloon gives them the means to find out. Twelve story-driven expeditions take crews to four places never seen in the base campaign, each with uncertain outcomes that reward a well-equipped team and punish a hasty one. What you find comes home with you. Expeditions unlock new buildings you can raise in the settlement, plus six exotic seeds including coconuts and bananas, which broaden a food supply that was mostly grain and preserved goods before. The trips are large in scale and written as short stories rather than timed fetch tasks, so choices made along the way shape what returns. Aerial travel extends the base game's expedition system rather than replacing it. The base game is required to play this add-on.
