Endless Space 2 - Penumbra

Adding a hacking system, fleet invisibility and a new playable faction called the Umbral Choir.

This content requires the base game to play and folds into its existing empire management and diplomacy systems. A new hacking feature lets fleets or systems launch operations against a target. With both sides deploying offensive and defensive programs to decide the outcome, opening options like sabotage that did not exist before. Fleets can also fit invisibility modules, letting them slip through enemy territory undetected unless the opponent has matching detection technology.

The pack also adds the Umbral Choir. A playable faction that holds only a single visible system yet grows its economy by quietly building outposts inside neutral or enemy territory without revealing itself. Their strength comes from staying hidden and leaning on the new hacking tools to undermine rivals rather than confronting them directly. Giving players a stealth-focused playstyle that plays very differently from the galaxy's other empires.

• Hacking Operations Systems and fleets can launch hacking attacks using offensive and defensive programs to decide the result.
• Fleet Invisibility Invisibility modules let fleets slip through enemy space undetected unless countered by detection tech.
• Umbral Choir Faction A hidden faction expands through secret outposts instead of visible colonies or open conquest.
• Requires Base Game This content only works alongside the base strategy game and cannot run on its own.
