About this game
Players choose a faction such as the Iroquois, Huron, Cherokee, or Plains nations and manage territory, diplomacy, and army construction on a turn-based campaign map. Battles switch to real-time combat, where players position units, use terrain, and coordinate ranged and melee troops to defeat rival factions and colonial powers.
The expansion adjusts unit rosters and building options to reflect the tribal societies it depicts, offering different tactics and economic choices than the base game's European factions. It integrates with the core turn-based-strategy and real-time-battle structure that the series is built around, adding a distinct playstyle rather than replacing existing content.
- New Factions Four Native American factions become playable, each with unique units.
- Campaign Map A dedicated North American map serves as the setting for this content.
- Turn-Based Strategy Players manage economy, diplomacy, and expansion between real-time battles.
- Real-Time Battles Large-scale battles let players command troops directly on the battlefield.
