Elite: Dangerous

Players start with a small ship and choose how to make a living: trading commodities between star systems, hunting bounties, mining asteroids, exploring uncharted systems, or fighting other pilots and factions.

Every action feeds a shared galactic economy and political simulation, so trade routes shift and factions rise or fall based on what players collectively choose to do.

The game combines first-person cockpit flight with a broad progression system, letting a player upgrade or trade in for new ship hulls, weapons, and modules as credits and reputation grow. Exploration takes players far beyond human space to scan planets and stars, with journeys that can last many hours without combat or trading involved.

• Newtonian Flight Model Ships handle with realistic momentum and thruster-based movement rather than arcade steering.
• Persistent Galaxy The galaxy simulates an actual scale model of the Milky Way with billions of star systems.
• Multiple Playstyles Players can specialize in trading, combat, mining, or exploration at their own pace.
• Ship Customization Hulls can be outfitted with different weapons, shields, and utility modules.
