Egosoft Collection

It includes X: Beyond the Frontier, its expansion X: Tension, X2: The Threat, X3: Reunion, X3: Terran Conflict and X3: Albion Prelude. It also includes X Rebirth along with its Home of Light and Teladi Outpost story expansions. Across these games, players pilot spacecraft, trade goods between stations and build up a personal economic empire in a galaxy shared by several alien races. Combat plays out in open space against pirates and rival factions, often fought with a growing fleet of ships under the player's command. The story moves from the earliest human expansion into the X universe through a major galactic upheaval explored in the later X3 entries. Several entries build on another: X: Tension requires X: Beyond the Frontier, X3: Albion Prelude requires X3: Terran Conflict, and both X Rebirth story additions require X Rebirth itself. Ship and station construction let players expand a production network as their in-game wealth grows, deepening the economic side of the series over time.
