Dungeon Tycoon

The player designs the dungeon layout, choosing where to place traps and which monsters guard each room against treasure-seeking heroes. Monsters can be summoned, hired and upgraded over time, turning creature management into a kind of workforce planning. A research system unlocks new rooms, traps and upgrades as the dungeon grows more capable. Beyond combat, the dungeon also runs as a business: shops sell potions and other aids to visiting heroes, adding a second income stream alongside recovered loot. Watching how heroes behave, where they get stuck, what they buy and how far they progress feeds back into how the layout should change. Success means balancing efficiency with atmosphere, since a dungeon that is only lethal drives away the paying customers who fund it. Quests give heroes reasons to keep coming back, creating an ongoing cycle of exploration, combat and commerce. The result flips the traditional dungeon crawl: instead of playing the hero fighting through traps and monsters, the player builds and tunes the gauntlet itself.
