Routes are built on actual street layouts and points of interest pulled from open mapping data, so each city plays out with its real geography. Players buy buses from more than thirty models, assign them to routes, and track passenger demand and satisfaction as the network grows. A depot management layer covers vehicle maintenance, spare parts, cleaning, and staffing, with drivers, mechanics, office workers, and ticket inspectors all needing to be hired and scheduled. A service center handles ticket sales and passenger income, and a scenario mode sets specific operational goals to work toward. Random events such as rail replacement work add unpredictable spikes in demand that the player has to route around. Community-made bus models and shared scenarios extend the base vehicle roster and add further scenarios to play through.
