Battlezone 98 Redux Odyssey Edition

The setting is an alternate Cold War in which the space race hides a secret conflict between American and Soviet forces over alien bio-metal scattered across the solar system. You drive hover tanks, scouts and assault craft yourself, shooting from the cockpit, while ordering builders, factories, power plants, turrets and recyclers into place and directing squads by radio command. Fighting spans the Moon, Mars, Venus, Titan, Io and Europa, across two single-player campaigns of roughly twenty-nine missions between the American and Soviet sides. This edition also carries The Red Odyssey. That adds two more playable forces, the Black Dogs and the Chinese Red Army, twenty-three missions split across two fresh campaigns, and over thirty extra vehicles and buildings with new textures. Its story moves the war out to Jupiter and its moons, where a discovery on Ganymede turns into a race for Cthonian portal technology, with cloaked vehicles and ambushes changing how fights play out. Multiplayer supports two to eight players in deathmatch and strategy modes, and community modding covers custom maps, vehicles and scripts.
