Players learn to bake several dozen kinds of bread and other baked goods, following an in-game database of original recipes or adjusting ingredients to create their own. Each morning brings a fresh list of orders from local stores, and choosing which ones to take on and getting them out on schedule builds the reputation needed for bigger contracts. Ingredients like flour and yeast are ordered from warehouses and stored in limited space, so planning purchases carefully matters as much as the baking itself. Profits from completed orders can be reinvested in new ovens, mixers and other bakery equipment, or spent expanding storage and transport capacity. The bakery layout is fully customizable, with dozens of machines, countertops and tools to choose from as the business grows. Because new competing bakeries appear over time and customer demand shifts, staying profitable means adjusting equipment and recipes rather than repeating the same routine. Getting orders out late costs money, so route planning and timing matter as much as getting the recipe right.
