Assassin's Creed Rogue

Players take on Shay Patrick Cormac, a privateer who breaks from a brotherhood of assassins and hunts former allies across a river valley and a northern port city. Ground combat mixes an air rifle, hidden blades and counter-based melee fighting against human enemies, while stealth lets you stalk targets from rooftops and crowds before striking. At sea, you captain the Morrigan, a shallow-draft ship armed with cannons, oil slicks and swivel guns, chasing, boarding and plundering rival vessels across open water and narrow rivers. Hunting animals for pelts and salvaging raided cargo feed a crafting system that upgrades gear, weapons and the ship itself. Renovating captured buildings generates ongoing income used to fund further upgrades. A framing story set generations later ties the historical missions to a modern-day conspiracy plot. Icy, gas-filled caverns add an environmental hazard that forces players to manage a protective mask while exploring. The campaign builds toward direct confrontations with former comrades, reframing familiar assassin-versus-templar conflict from the opposing side.
