Assassin's Creed II

Combat rewards patience: players hold guard, wait for an opening, and answer enemy strikes with timed counters rather than relying on button mashing. Movement centers on free-running, letting Ezio scale walls, vault stalls, and cross rooftops to explore cities or escape pursuers. A hidden blade and a growing arsenal of swords and daggers support both open combat and quiet, cover-based assassinations. The family villa serves as a home base that can be restored and upgraded, generating passive income at regular intervals. That income funds better armor, weapons, and training, tying exploration and combat progress back into the villa's growth. Outside combat, blending into crowds and using designated hiding spots keeps guards from noticing a kill before it happens. The story unfolds across multiple cities, each offering its own guilds, merchants, and side pursuits to fund the growing arsenal.
