Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - The Mountain Royals

Along with three new single-player campaigns, and requires the base game to play.

The Armenians field the Composite Bowman, an archer that pierces heavy armor better than most ranged units. And the Warrior Priest, an infantry unit that fights in melee while also healing nearby allies. The Georgians rely on the Monaspa. A cavalry unit whose fighting strength increases the more of them are grouped together, rewarding players who mass their cavalry rather than splitting it into small groups. The existing Persian civilization is reworked in the same update.

Three linked campaigns follow the new civilizations through the Caucasus mountains: Tamar's Ascension traces a queen's rise as she secures her claim to the Georgian throne. Thoros the Great covers Cilician Armenia's fight for independence against Byzantine and Seljuk pressure, and Ismail follows the Safavid Order's rise to power in Persia. Missions are set across mountainous terrain that rewards defensive chokepoints and elevation over open charges.
