Far Cry 4 | Gold Edition

The player arrives to scatter a father's ashes and gets pulled into a civil war between the ruling regime and a fractured rebellion. Climbing towers reveals the map, hunting animals supplies crafting materials, and calling in an elephant helps when a firefight needs one more participant.

Outposts dot the countryside and can be cleared loudly with a rocket launcher or quietly by tagging guards and picking them off one by one, and a companion roster of hired guns, each with a signature skill, can be called in to help either approach.

The story leans on a genuinely unpredictable ruler whose scenes swing from charming to threatening within one conversation. Side content stretches well beyond outposts into hunting contests, arena fights, and a fortress-siege structure that escalates as more of the map falls.

• An open Himalayan kingdom Kyrat mixes mountain valleys, dense jungle, and fortified roads across one connected map.
• Loud or quiet outposts Every enemy camp can be cleared by stealth tagging or by driving straight through the gate.
• Animal hunting and crafting Hides and parts from local wildlife upgrade ammo pouches, wallets, and gear capacity.
• Hireable companions A roster of specialists, from a sniper to an elephant, can be called in mid-fight.
• Co-op campaign A second player can drop into the story to tackle outposts and missions together.
