Can I still message people back home?

Yes, with apps that send messages over data, such as iMessage. They use your eSIM's data. Ordinary texts (SMS) go through your regular SIM, and your home carrier decides what those cost abroad.

Will my regular number stop working while I travel?

No. Your regular SIM and number work as before, as long as that line is on. The eSIM only adds a data connection beside it. See [using an eSIM alongside your regular SIM](/help/esim/can-i-use-esim-with-my-regular-sim).

How do I make a call abroad?

Use a calling app over data, such as FaceTime, on your eSIM's data. Or call from your regular number, at your home carrier's rates. If your home carrier offers Wi-Fi calling, your number can also make calls over Wi-Fi.

Will I still get text codes from my bank?

They go to your regular number, so keep your regular SIM's line turned on. Whether receiving them abroad costs anything is up to your home carrier.

Can I add calls or texts to my eSIM?

No. Plans are sold for their data and days only.

Does my eSIM cover calls and texts, or only data?

Andalu eSIMs are data only. Each plan page lists data and days, and that's what you buy: don't count on a phone number, calls or texts from your eSIM. Your regular SIM keeps your number for calls and texts. Apps that work over data, such as messaging and video-call apps, work on your eSIM like on any other connection.

No order number? Include the email address you paid with and your eSIM's ICCID. It's in your eSIM email, and in your phone's settings: Settings > General > About on an iPhone, or Settings > About phone > SIM status on Android. Contact us about an eSIM.
